Finnish-American — son of Eliel Saarinen, with whom he initially shared a practice. Gateway Arch (St. Louis, 1965, posthumous), TWA Flight Center (JFK, 1962), Dulles Airport main terminal (1962), Yale Ingalls Hockey Rink (1958), MIT Kresge Auditorium (1955).
