Charles (1907–1978) and Ray (1912–1988) Eames — the most influential mid-century American design partnership. Furniture (the Lounge Chair, the moulded-plywood DCW), the Eames House (Case Study #8, Pacific Palisades, 1949), films (*Powers of Ten*, 1977), exhibitions (the IBM World's Fair pavilion).
