Álvaro Siza Vieira

Portuguese architect rooted in the Porto School. Boa Nova Tea House (1963), Quinta da Malagueira social housing (1977), the Iberê Camargo Foundation (Porto Alegre, 2008), the Saya Park Pavilion (South Korea, 2018).

Siza draws every project by hand — the sketches are signature artefacts. His response to site is so specific that no two projects look related; the recurrent quality is precision, not style.
