Worked under Le Corbusier on Chandigarh (1951–54) and under Louis Kahn on the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (1962–74) before founding Sangath (his Ahmedabad studio, 1980) and a body of housing work — Aranya Low Cost Housing (Indore, 1989).
